Argos, the Stargazer

The Great One known as The Stargazer represents the search for knowledge and wisdom above all else. He is known to be an observer, not acting upon the world directly, but through indirect influence. No one knows why this deity lies in the Labyrinth seemingly forgotten by its followers, but this seems to be the will of Argos himself. 

Disciples of Argos

All of those who worshipped this deity were entranced with visions of the great mysteries of the universe, losing sight of all other things around them, some even forgetting the basic needs of their own bodies, wasting away as Argos visions enveloped their minds.

Lesser minds were known to quickly succumb to madness as they gaze through the eyes of Argos.

At some point, the deity vanished from its place of worship, leaving his followers lost and in search for vision. They now gather around a symbol that seems alien to them, but it is somehow linked to their Old God.

Artifacts and Literature

Knowledge of Argos was gathered by schollars in the Stargazer Tome, but this book defies logic and the laws of our universe, because it seems to have infinite pages which are all blank. All who look into the book see different things and, most often than not, waste away staring into it.

The Helm of Vision is a powerful artifact that grants a fraction of Argos Sight, allowing the user to see secrets beyond our reality. This artifact seems to greatly influence the wearer, encouraging them to seek out Argos himself.

Another artifact is the Helix Necklace, which combined with the Helm of Vision allows Argos to use the wearers eyes for its purposes.
