Story of the World #01 - Limos, the Maw and his apostles

There are very old things inside the Labyrinth, some that escape all comprehension. No one knows where they came from or how old they are, we just know they are old.

Also called GodsGreat Ones or Old Ones, they reside deep within the walls and bowels of the Labyrinth, attracting followers that worship them above all else.

The Apostles of Limos

The followers of the Gods are called Apostles, and they devote their entire beings to their respective deity, in this case, Limos, the Maw, God of Hunger.

It is known that Limos appreciates sacrifices of flesh and blood, but it is unknown if he actually need them to nourish his real body. Those who bring offerings to him are rewarded with his blessings.

Delphine, the Nun

The most powerful sacrifices are the ones that are self imposed. It is what separates a victim from a sacrifice, and the latter is much more powerful as an offer to the Great Ones. There is one woman that devoted her body and soul to bring forth many actual sacrifices to her Lord, gaining great attention and favor by him. She is known as the Nun.

The devoted Delphine is eager to join her Lord and waits deep in her own improvised chapel hidden inside the Labyrinth.

Literature and Artifacts

Scholars observed and studied the apostles and their God, gathering information that was compiled in the Book of Hunger. Knowledge of the Great Ones corrupts and twists mind and matter and is powerful enough to drive the ones who look at it mad. The book itself became as a small token of Limos, gaining his unique mark: The Maw.

The other known artifact is the Pendant of Fames, which is only given to those most loyal to wear. It is unknown what the pendant actually does, but if you hang on to it long enough, you can hear the whispers of its master.

AUTHORS NOTE:

This is a new format of post I want to try out for this project, where I add some of the lore of the game world to make somethings clearer inside the game. No information here is necessary to play or understand the gameplay, but it will fill some gaps of players who are interested in exploring this world history a bit more.

What you guys thing? Let me know in the comments! Cheers!
